Making the Best out of What Summer?

Henry and I met up with some friends for a Camping weekend.
It wasn't very warm at all but we had a great time anyway.
This is Fred he is a new Member of the "Marge" crew. (Marge is my Motor home.)

Henry got to do some jet skiing with his Unka Dennis.

"Hit it Unka"

We went on some hikes too, look at the beauty.

Winter Weight

I know that I have put on some "Winter" weight and it is hard on my body.
But check this guy out.
That poor dude is just draggin' himself all over the place.

But this guy is coming home from Goodwill  cause he's got his treasures on his back.

I don't know how we are all getting so big........
It must be in the rain.
And I need a Pedi really bad, sorry.

Sock it to me!

"Knit Night" at my house is still going strong on Wednesday nights. We laugh and drink wine and knit, or some do small projects. I have made some great friends in the neighborhood. It has warmed my heart, but my toes were cold so I had to fix that.
I have knitted others some socks but I hadn't knitted any for me so it was my turn to warm my toes.

I finally knitted some socks for myself.
Some of us are on a sock "kick" with all the cute striped yarns out there it is hard to resist.
Here is another pair for me.
I just love how the sock yarns stripe as you knit them. No color change it's all in the yarn.
I even got my sister to knit her own. Since she started knitting her own I have been able to do some for myself. She has gotten one done so far. I am so Proud! (tears rolling down my cheeks)

Isn't that cute yarn? Great job Carie.
So if you haven't ever knitted don't be afraid of doing socks. They are easy to do and they are so Darn cute and cozy.
I'm off to knit now XX's and OO's between your toes.

I'm not in Florida anymore!

Carie and I went and took the dogs out for a hike yesterday. We had a lovely time being in the trees along a creek and letting the fur babies run free.

Some times you wonder why we take root some places.

Beauty is all around us.
I just wanted to remind you that a month ago I was visiting friends in Florida combing the beach for treasures. this was a beauty that caught my eye because of the Yellow!

I knew I wasn't in Florida anymore when I came across this yesterday on my hike.

Once again it was yellow. The seashell is beautiful and all, but it doesn't do anything but look pretty. But with this treasure just think of all the potential it can do for me.

This house was a cutie along the creek.

I may not be in Florida anymore but this is where I am taking root.
OREGON

Get out and enjoy your surroundings this weekend.

Talent runs in the Family

My sister is so talented.  She is making Portrait Art/ Keepsake Quilts.
Look at what she can do with a Photo.

This is made out of fabric. I can't even go into HOW she does this so I wanted to share it with you.
AMAZING!!!!
The green quilt is my nephew Robert.

The  quilt below was taken from the above picture of my brother Scott and my niece Katelyn.

Carie surprised me with a VERY SPECIAL portrait quilt of my "Son" Henry

Go check out her ETSY store. ( This pet portrait was a special "Sister" gift)
But she does some great people portraits. It is a wonderful gift to give to someone or keep for yourself.

On the Hunt

I just had a fabulous time visiting friends in Florida. We did some beach combing and it was like being on the best Easter hunt ever.

Jackpot!

The orchids were in bloom too. Look how beautiful they all are.

These are only a few out of the 400 pictures I took this past week.

Happy Easter.
